Advisors take on a mentoring role with the teams by helping them improve and develop their business ideas and thereby do well in the competition.

Advisors are typically serial entrepreneurs or people with strong experience in their industry. They provide their time and efforts to Venture Cup on a volunteer basis and are important supporters of the organisation.

All advisors have signed our Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in order to keep ideas and projects safe.

Anders Brørup

Anders Brørup has participated in Venture Cup two times, in 2004 for DanishSmarthouse (Construction) and in 2005 for SmartShare Systems (IT hardware).  Anders worked with the respective teams to develop their business plans, and both teams were nominated for the national finals. SmartShare Systems, today, is one of Venture Cup's most succesful alumni companies.

Having practical experience with writing business plans for Venture Cup, Anders can provide help to write a business plan focused on core values in relation to venture investments, and sharpen its general structure so that the jury doesn't miss any valuable information.

Currently, Anders is also an advisor to a Xbox/PC game start-up company called Titan Games. Anders  is Cand.merc.MAC.

Anne Sofie Josephsen

Commercial director & Director, COPENHAGEN LIVING LAB

Anne Sophis is the Commercial Director of Copenhagen Living Lab, which is a consultant agency, working with user empowered innovation & which organizes a wide range of ambitious projects in innovation & entrepreneurship, which is based on the Web 2.0 philosophy.

Member of Women On Board/Dansk Industri, Member of Nowak CPH Advisory Board & Member of ITBranchens udvalg for Det Digitale Hjem.

Anne Sofie holds an Board Governance Education in Strategic Board Roommanagement. Also she is one of the few holding a Young Managers Programme from European Management Center (Egmont)

Christian Drachmann

Partner, Conzortium

Christian Drachmann has a Master Business Science, with key focus on Strategic Planning. In his professional career, he has worked with business plans as a product manager, key account manager, strategy development manager and corporate sales development manager. From his background as a Management Consultant, he has worked with managers in several of the biggest companies in Denmark focusing on improving their project- and business plans. Furthermore, he is a certified Belbin instructor and Executive Coach.   

Jan Dombernowsky

Partner, INTELLEX Technology 

Jan is the founder of INTELLEX and has helped establish many biotech and healthcare related IT companies, offering support for all business aspects as consultant and board member. He has a combined medical and commercial background and more than 20 years of experience in leading positions within the pharmaceutical industry and the health care sector. He also has an international orientation from having lived abroad for several years, through international sales and marketing jobs, and from managing subsidiaries and distributors in most parts of the world.

John Norden

CEO, MyBanker.dk

John bas been an entrepreneur most of his professional life working in amongst others in the car industry and starting up MyBanker in 2000. Furthermore John has assisted several start-ups (a radio station, E-auctions, Estate investments etc.). John has a background in the banking industry and holds an additional HD.

John's core competencies lies within E-business and auctions, PR, Marketing, startups, and Internet supply chain solutions.   

Jonas Ørts Holm

Business Developer, Væksthus Sjælland

In his work as business developer at Væksthus Sjælland he helps entrepreneurs and SMC's and manage and develop strategy, finance and business plans.  

Jonas has a master in strategy, organization and management focused on business strategy.

Lars Høg-Iversen

Founder & CEO, Dynaton

Lars Høg-Iversen is a typical entrepreneur specialising primarily in technology-based start-ups in the electronics/software industry. Lars has founded and co-founded no less than 12 companies where some of those have global presence. Lars has tried all the up's and down's by setting up new businesses - and with hands-on experience from creating an idea, making a viable business plan to running the companies, he has the required stamina and know-how to survive in a competitive and visionary environment.

Lars has written and co-written no less than 19 patents applications during his career, and his educational background counts two economics (international marketing + business logistics) and one technical (electronics) education.

Mads Brinks

CEO, House of Beer (part of the Carlsberg Group) 

Mads Brinks has been CEO of House of Beer since 2008. Mads has been the Sales Development Manager with Carlsberg Danmark A/S and involved in various strategic projects for 3 years. Previously, he was a Management Consultant with McKinsey & Co for 3 years and a Project Leader at Mærsk Data for 2 years. He has a Cand. Merc. IB from CBS.

Mads, in particular, has competencies within Business Development and Management Setup

Maria Eriksen Jensen

Co-founder, IDEALIZER ApS

Maria co-founded IDEALIZER ApS in 2007, and has recently closed down the company, despite a good turnover, to seek new challenges. IDEALIZER focussed on writing business plans for entrepreneurs, aiding in the realisation of their ideas. Prior to this Maria worked as a consultant for CBS Junior Consultants. Maria's core competencies are within the areas of strategy, business development and market research & analysis.

Maria holds a B.Sc. in International Business (HA-IB) from Copenhagen Business School, and is in the process of completing an M.Sc. in Finance and Strategic Management.

Martin G. Pedersen

Founder and CTO, RequirementOne

Martin is the founder and CTO of RequirementOne - the preferred requirement management platform and community for professional teams of all sizes that develop, manage and communicate requirements with their stakeholders. RequirementOne is used in more than 30 countries across 5 continents.

Martin has established partnerships with Stanford University and the leading US hi-tech law firm WSGR. He started his career working for Maersk Data (Today IBM Business Services) with large software systems focusing on Geographic Information Systems used by the military. Martin specializes in requirement management throughout the project lifecycle, and particularly in requirement specification.

Finally, Martin is an active advisor for a number of technology companies. His experience as an international entrepreneur include everything related to internet, software-as-a-service, product development, fund-raising, business development, search engine optimization, business models and social networks.

Michael Christiansen

Michael has been with Venture Cup as an advisors since 2001. Enjoying mentoring and coaching, Michael Christiansen has been coaching winning Venture Cup teams for 5 years.

Prior to his job in the executive search and selection firm ManPower Professional, Michael has worked in Financial Services for 10 years and in IT (ERP & BI) for 6 years.

Michael is a lawyer, and holds an MBA from IMD. He has vast eaching experience in strategy and strategic leadership at CBS and has special competencies within IT-Software, Banking, Commerce, Strategy, and Law.

Michael Kjøller-Petersen

CEO & co-Founder, OptionDirect

Michael founded OptionDirect in 2003 after participating and winning 2nd round in Venture Cup 2003. OptionDirect has developed a unique software to manage sharebased incentive schemes for listed companies. The company went international in 2007.

Michael has expertise within the areas of venture startups, writing business plans, software development, b2b sales and market expansion. He holds a Master Degree in Business Administration and Commercial Law from Copenhagen Business School.

Mikkel Kinnerup

CEO, Office123

Office123 develops fully integrated business software based on open source as an on-demand solution.

Mikkel made his master thesis at Copenhagen Business School on the topic ‘Innovation processes in high tech companies'. He have studied entrepreneurship at universities in Dallas, Texas and Monterey, California. During his time a the Trade Council of Denmark in Silicon Valley he gained a lot of experience working for Danish high tech companies. Mikkel was the managing director for Venture Cup in Denmark for several years and has since then worked for a couple of start-up companies in Denmark.

Mikkel has good experience with go-to-market strategies for high tech start-ups, and has a general technical knowledge and a strong software knowledge.

Morten Brørup

CTO and founder, SmartShare Systems

Morten is a serial entrepreneur. He started his first company in high school, importing floppy disks, sunglasses and whatever could be sold with a profit. In the early days of the dot.com bubble he co-founded the first web site in Denmark which integrated web with SMS services - now every web site does that. Later, he co-founded a VoIP provider, which he scrapped before going online, because the market seemed to become tougher than initially expected. Morten also developed an MP3 walkman, but the market was not mature at the time.

Before founding SmartShare Systems, Morten was the software manager at Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. In SmartShare Systems, Morten has raised 14+ mill. kr. in three investment rounds, successfully headhunted the perfect CEO, established a professional Board of Directors, and the company generated revenue already within one year of incorporation - this time the timing is right. Morten has a M.Sc. EE from DTU, and is a network and telecommunications specialist.

Morten's core competencies lies within initial startup, OEM/ODM business models, Network technology, and Software (spanning from embedded devices to cluster systems).

Morten Stengaard Nielsen

Co-Founder, IDEALIZER ApS

Morten's core-competencies lie within business development, entrepreneurial strategy and corporate finance. Morten was the co-founder of IDEALIZER ApS, a company that assisted entrepreneurs in developing their business ideas, writing their business plans and raising the capital necessary to turn their ideas into practice. Morten recently closed Idealizer, despite good profits, to seek new challenges and is already working on a new startup.

In 2004, Morten co-founded CBS Junior Consultants, a concept where talented business students work as consultants for businesses and organisations. Morten holds a B.Sc. in International Business (HA-IB) from Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and a M.Sc. in Finance and Strategic Management.

Nikolaj Hendriksen

Partner, MyBanker.dk

Nikolaj is co-founder and partner in MyBanker.dk. Nikolaj's primary area of responsibility is to developing the companys startegy as well as planning an international expansion. Nikolaj holds a cand. merc. DAT from Copenhagen Business School and has previously started up companies.  

Thomas Eskebæk

Founder and CEO, Sapio Systems

Thomas is founder of Sapio Systems and former participant and winner in Venture Cup. Sapio Systems has just recently recieved investments of DKK 5m and is now going international. Thomas has extensive hands on experience in writing a business plan and starting up a company.

Thomas holds a MSc in Civil Engineering from DTU.  

Thomas Kledal

SCO and founder, Inagen

Thomas is currently a senior researcher at Risø. His expertise covers cell biology, virology, molecular pharmacology and proteomics.

In the fall 2007 Thomas founded INAGEN, which is a small biotech startup. INAGEN has created a novel method of developing new forms of therapies against viral diseases. The technology utilizes a "self targeting" capability that occurs in the natural defense mechanism of the specific disease to target and kill infected cells. The platform technology can be developed for numerous infectious diseases.

Thomas won the 1st prize in Venture Cup in 2004. He has a vast knowledge within writing business plans and company startup.

Thomas Gudman

Strategy Lead MBS EMEA, Microsoft

Thomas is currently working at Microsoft and has a vast knowledge and experience within sales-, marketing- & customer service-strategy, functional budget management, innovation & business development, industry-, market- & company analysis, and investor presentations. Furthermore Thomas has extensive competencies within amongst others IT strategy & organization, IT program & project management, web services. He has worked with the following industries: Services, High Technology, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, and Transportation/Logistics.

Thomas holds a Master Degree in International Business and Marketing Management from Copenhagen Business School

Troels Lindgård

 SAP security consultant, KMD

Torels has started 2 companies during Cand.merc.dat studies at CBS and has participated in Venture Cup. He currently works as a SAP security architect at KMD. Troels is Chairman of FUHU International Alumni, which awards MBA scholarships to Monterey institute of international studies (Top 10 MBA in Entrepreneurship).

Troels has written and reviewed several business plans over the years, and he is coaching start ups to overcome challenges. Prefers coaching concerning business plans within the IT-industry and/or business plans focusing on user centered innovation.

Zahid Abdullah 

CEO and Founder, TEO A/S

Zahid has nearly two decades of experience in the Danish IT industry. During the past six years he has established two IT companies along with partners. The current venture is funded by a venture capital company. He has experience in working in Denmark and setting up business in Eastern Europe and Asia. In particular he is focused on the people and implementation aspects of new business ideas. His field of interest moreover includes globalization of IT services and social responsibility.

Zahid holds a M.Sc. from the Technical University of Denmark.

Zoran Gojkovic

CEO and Founder, Zgene

Dr. Gojkovic is an experienced entrepreneur with strong scientific and operational background. He holds an MSc in biology and a PhD in molecular biology from University of Copenhagen and has researched anticancer therapeutics for over 10 years. Before founding ZGene, Dr. Gojkovic held a position as Assistant Research Professor at Technical University of Denmark. Dr. Gojkovic has established a track record of building top scientific teams and successfully advancing several product candidates from early discovery research to preclinical development. He has authored over a dozen scientific papers and book chapters and has been a major inventor of several patents. Dr. Gojkovic is 2001 Venture Cup winner.

Jesper Hvid Kongaa

Project Management Consultant, Pape Kongaa

Jesper is a project management consultant within IT and economics. He has specific knowledge within the field of development of software for industrial automation.

His field of expertise lies within IT and he is certified within IT security (CISSP) and Microsoft Dynamics NAV (MCP)

Mogens Thomsen

Business Consultant, Væksthus Midtjylland

Mogens has a degree in public management and has throughout his career worked with entrepreneurs and young growth companies. He advises entrepreneurs and companies with growth ambitions on a daily basis through his work at Væksthus Midtjylland, and has written several books and websites about how to develop a business plan and start-up questions.

Additionally, Mogens has broad international experience in working with different projects abroad.

Søren Rehné

CEO and Founder, CCI Magazine / Knowbody

Søren started the Company Knowbody in 2000, which specializes in developing systems for graphic automation. Knowbody has attracted large clients, such as Apple, Adobe and Time Warner, and was in 2006 bought by Stibo and merged into CCI magazine. Søren is currently the CEO of CCI and works with all aspects of starting and growing the company.

Søren has a degree as a computer scientist and has throughout his career worked with many different aspects within technical and business development.

Michael Reeslev

Project Manager, MedTech Innovation Center 

Michael has a financial background and comes from a position as CEO at Reeslev & Partners A / S. Michael has an extensive experience in investment in and valuation of biotech and pharmaceutical companies, as well as project management and concept- and business development.

Morten Nissen Nielsen

CEO, C02 Neutral Website

Morten is the initiator of CO2 neutral website. The use of the Internet and IT presently emits large volumes of CO2 due to the power consumption. Power is consumed by the servers behind websites, and CO2 neutral website is a new initiative with the offer to remove such internet-related CO2 emission. Before founding CO2 neutral website Morten has created several startups and he has also been CEO of Nyhedsavisen. Morten's core competencies lie within initial startup and business development.
