STARTUP COMPETITION

The Venture Cup Startup Competition runs during the spring and awards 50,000 DKK to the best business idea of each of these five categories: Applied Technology Cleantech Life Science & Medtech Services Software The five winning teams compete for an additional prize of 200,000 to take home a total prize of 250,000 DKK  You can participate by entering a business plan of 10-20 pages. The deadline for submissions is usually around early May, and the final is in June. Exact dates will be made available soon.

ALL IDEAS GET FEEDBACK		SOME TIPS
After the deadline, Venture Cup distributes all the eligible ideas to the jury members who read, grade and provide constructive feedback on your business ideas.   The results from the jury are used to rank the business ideas, and the top three teams of each category are invited to pitch their idea to a jury panel and compete for the prize of 50,000DKK. The five winning teams will then compete for an additional prize of 200,000 to take home a total prize of 250,000DKK.		To support you on your quest, Venture Cup organises workshops about different topics related to the competition criteria. Applied Technology		Cleantech
If you have designed a new product, most likely your idea should participate in this category. Products here include: Hardware  Electronics  Construction materials  Nanotechnology Robotics  Telecommunications Devices  Consumer electronics  Industrial design, etc.		If your focus is on improving the environment, chances are your idea belongs in this category. Cleantech ideas can be anything from: Energy efficiency Renewable energy Recycling Pollution reduction Waste management Green transportation Energy storage, etc.
Life Science & Medtech		Services
This category is for any idea within the world of: Biotechnology  Biomaterials  Healthcare Diagnostics  Therapeutics Medicine  Instrumentation Medical Equipment, etc.		This category includes all ideas related to providing services. If your idea is related to any of these: Consulting  Finance  Marketing  Retail  Hospitality Tourism Education Fashion  Public services supply Social entrepreneurship, etc.
Software
This category speaks for itself; if you have an idea that involves: Software Digital or social media Web 2.0 Gaming Web applications Mobile applications SaaS Search engines Operating systems, etc.
		Venture Cup also runs an Idea Competition in autumn, where you can win 25,000 DKK.
