Advisor Program

The advisor programme

Venture Cup offers all participants the possibility to work with an Advisor to develop your business plan, and thereby increase your possibilities to win the top prize. The assistance is free of charge, and you can expect 5 hours of one-to-one consultancy.

Our advisors are experts from a wide variety of backgrounds, often serial entrepreneurs or knowledgeable managers, who support our participants by giving them feedback and advice so they can improve their business ideas. A Venture Cup advisor can provide great value to you and your team, and it could very well be one of the main reasons for entering the competition.

We are very proud of the people who donate their time to become advisors for Venture Cup, they are all extremely skilled and knowledgable. You can see the full list of advisors here.

To apply for a Venture Cup Advisor

  1. You will need to provide us with a short description of your start-up, and the areas in which you need advice. Below is a questionaire which you have to fill in to give us the required information. Click here to download the questionnaire
  2. Send the questionaire to your regional manager once you have filled it in
  3. Based on your start-up profile and needs, your corresponding Regional Manager will assign you a suitable advisor. We will contact you once this is done.

Note that you can apply to get an advisor even if you did not participate in the idea competition in autumn. The only requirement is that you submit a business plan for the startup competition in the spring.

All our advisors provide the teams with about 5 hours of their time during the spring.

All advisors (and staff, and jury) have signed our Non-Disclosure Agreement, which is used to ensure that all information about projects or ideas submitted during the competition is kept confidential and secure.

Contact your Regional Manager to hear more.

How do I know that it provides real value?

Below you can see a clear demonstration of the value of having an advisor. 59% of all participants in the startup competition had an advisor, but a whole of 90% of those that were nominated had an advisor. That means that having an advisor provided so much value that only one team without an advisor made it into the top 10.
