Venture Cup - the world's largest business plan competition

 

Venture Cup is the world's largest business plan competition. Our goal is to inspire and encourage students and researchers to develop their ideas into successful companies.  

Since Venture Cup's foundation in Denmark in 2000, we have experienced high growth rates in participation, support and interest. Venture Cup, as an organisation, has expanded greatly and now covers all of Denmark in four regions: Copenhagen, Zealand, Southern Denmark and Mid Jutland. 

Each year Venture Cup is in contact with more than 8000 students interested in entrepreneurship from the Danish universities. We work to inspire, encourage and empower students to become entrepreneurs and in 2008/2009 more than 700 students participated in Venture Cup 

Venture Cup is continuously improving and becoming better positioned to reach our goal of discovering new entrepreneurs. As you can see in this graph, Venture Cup each year sets new and even higher records for participation.

 

 

The outcome of this success? International growth companies

Venture Cup has been instrumental in the development of more than 70 new companies. By 2008, Venture Cup alumni companies had created around 400 jobs, raised 100m dkk in investment capital and were contributing with more than 35m dkk a year to the Danish economy.
